Justin's Birthday.. 24 years young

Justin's Birthday is March 18th. Good ol day after St. Patty's day. This year he decided he wanted to go to Traxx (a very fast go-cart race track) and then after he wanted to go bowling. So about a week before his birthday I sent out a text message to about 25 people who we are friends with. Or I guess we thought we were friends with. After a few days I realized.. hmmm.. Only four people responded to the text message. Now, first off, I don't expect eveyone to drop what they are doing and attend Justin's birthday, but what I do expect is a response, especially when I specifically said "I hope you can come, let me know if you can make it so that I can reserve bowling lanes". I don't think it is much to ask to expect people who say they are "friends" to reply, even with a "sorry we have plans already".
So after not getting responses from about 20 people, I then sent out a message on facebook. This message went out to 26 people. ONE person responded.
Since I normally try to stay as positive as possible and NEVER air dirty laundry on my blog or facebook, this is out of character for me to be upset about, but what it comes down to is, I AM DONE! I am so sick of everyone pretending to be our friends and then they can't even respond and let me know "hey, can't make it". Is that really so much to ask? If I had a dollar for everyone who said "I will help you with your house" and yet, 10 months later, still haven't even tried to come help. Oh man. But anyways.
All in all, Justin did have a great time on his birthday. He had 5 people show up at Traxx to race with him ( I was a spectator). And then for bowling a few more people showed up and he had a great time. He is a very easy going person and enjoyed every minute of his birthday.
Happy Birthday Hubby of mine : )

19 weeks.. Just about half way!

Half way there!

Peanut is growing like crazy. I am happy to say that I have only gained 5lbs. so far during the pregnancy. The average at this point is 8-14lbs. But since I am already bigger, it would be better if I stay below the average. Last week we had our "big" ultrasound. Obviously we didn't find out the sex though : ) It was really exciting seeing Peanut moving around. At first Peanut was breached and asleep on he/she's feet. So the nurse thought it was funny that we didn't want to know the sex of the baby because oddly enough he/she was in the most difficult position ever! Peanut weighed 8oz during the ultrasound which puts him/her at the 55% range, which is great!

And then there was a floor...

Our kitchen is just about finished! We have cabinets, counters, a sink, and now a floor! The only thing that is left is our appliances! (I think).. lol..

In the beginning of our building process we had made excellent time and were scheduled to hopefully be moved in by Feb 1st. That clearly didn't happen. Although many people try to remind us that building a house rarely finishes on time, it is still a little dissapointing that we still aren't moved in. On the plus side, Justin starts working at Boeing this week. He has orientation tomorrow and then his first day of training starts Friday. Since his current company has had ZERO work in the last few months, it is nice that he will be at Boeing for about a month before we move in.

We still have over a month left of work on the house so hopefully we will be moved in during the middle of April.

We can see the end of the road and it looks amazing!

If we are moved in by the end of April that will give us about 3 months to get the house all organized and prep the babys room for Peanuts arrival : )

17 weeks

http://www.baby2see.com/development/week17.html

The above link is to a great website I was referred to that shows weekly development for Peanut. I love seeing step-by-step, how Peanut is growing. It is a hard adjustment to just know you are pregnant but not be able to see anything. This helps me know just exactly whats going on and how hard my body, and Peanuts, is working. Next week is the big ultrasound, getting excited, nervous, anxious, all of the above!
The other day we heard a commercial on the radio for Kohls and the commercial was about "mom thought she was having a girl, but turned out to have a boy. She can exchange all that she bought for the little girl for her little boy, even without a receipt!" blah blah blah.. anyways.. This got me thinking about 1. that is one of the reasons we don't want to find out, we don't want a wrong answer! but also 2. I think we are going to have to buy some boy and girl clothes and return whatever we don't need. haha. I am sooooo excited because buying nuetral is fine, but I can't wait to pick out some cute girly and boy clothes : )
